Arthur D. Soto-Vásquez is a proud native of El Chuco Town - otherwise known as El Paso, Texas. He is a doctoral candidate at American University and will be a faculty member at Texas A&M International University in the fall. His research focuses on how digital platforms are used by elite actors to socialize U.S. Latino communities as American political and economic consumers. His dissertation is focused on recent campaigns to mobilize Latino voters.

Previous work published by Arthur investigated the historical role the American President had in shaping the discourse around naming Latino subjects. In 2018 Arthur also received an award for an another publication which analyzed the data collection practices of the 2016 U.S. Presidential campaigns.
